Three Storey Passive Residence | Vastu-Inspired Smart Home
Dee Why, Sydney

Status: Under Construction
Designing a home that responds to both cultural philosophy and local climate requires a deep understanding of place.
This project explores the integration of traditional Indian Vastu principles with the environmental conditions of the Australian coastal climate.
The design combines passive environmental strategies with advanced home automation systems to create a contemporary coastal residence that is both energy efficient and highly responsive to changing environmental conditions.

Design Story
The home has been carefully planned to optimise natural light, cross ventilation and spatial connectivity between living spaces.
Each space has been designed with a distinct purpose while maintaining a strong connection to the overall flow of the house.
Passive design principles play a central role in the project.
Skylights positioned within the stair void facilitate stack effect ventilation, allowing warm air to escape from the upper levels while cooler air is drawn through the lower parts of the house.
